Naveen Singla Assigned Additional Charge as Director, Vigilance Bureau; Ravjot Grewal Placed at Disposal of Bureau

In a decisive step to bolster Punjab’s anti-corruption and vigilance apparatus, the Bhagwant Mann-led government has transferred two senior IPS officers into key roles within the Vigilance Bureau. The revised postings, aimed at reinforcing clean governance and investigative oversight, were announced on Thursday and come into effect immediately.

Naveen Singla Gets Additional Charge as Director, Vigilance Bureau

Naveen Singla (IPS:2009), presently serving as Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Jalandhar Range, has been handed additional charge as Director, Vigilance Bureau, Punjab, headquartered in SAS Nagar (Mohali).

His dual posting is seen as strategically significant as the state intensifies its focus on accountability and departmental transparency.

Ravjot Grewal Moved to Vigilance Bureau

Ravjot Grewal (IPS:2015), currently Assistant Inspector General (AIG), Counter Intelligence, SAS Nagar, has had her services formally placed at the disposal of the Vigilance Bureau.

Her specific assignment within the Bureau is expected to be announced soon, though she is likely to be involved in sensitive investigations and intelligence-driven operations.

 Strategic Purpose Behind Realignment

Though limited in scope, this reshuffle marks a targeted administrative move to enhance vigilance leadership amid rising calls for corruption control and service delivery reform. Both officers have been directed to assume their revised responsibilities without delay
