The 1978 batch IAS officer of Jharkhand cadre, Ram Sewak Sharma, newly appointed Telecom Regulatory Authority India (TRAI) Chairman has assumed charge on Monday.
He succeeds Rahul Khullar who retired on May 14. He was earlier serving as the Secretary of the Department of Electronics and IT, has played key role in implementing Aadhaar project. He was also the brain behind designing the roadmap for the Government’s ambitious Digital India project.
