In an important administrative development, the Competent Authority has approved the appointment of Shri Fating Rahul Haridas, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre (2012 batch), as Private Secretary to Rajiv Ranjan Singh, who holds charge of the Ministry of Panchayati Raj as well as the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying.
Appointment at Director Level in Key Central Ministry
As per the official communication, Rahul Haridas will assume his new role in the Ministry of Panchayati Raj at the level of Director. The appointment has been made for a tenure of five years, effective from the date he assumes charge of the post.

For a period of five years from the date of assuming charge
On a co-terminus basis with the tenure of the Minister
Until he ceases to function as Private Secretary
Or until further orders are issued
Whichever of these conditions occurs earliest will determine the duration of his service in this role.

The communication further directs that Rahul Haridas be relieved from his current responsibilities without delay, enabling him to take up his new assignment at the earliest.
