ACC Approves Premature Repatriation of IPS Officer Rajesh Pradhan from CBI to Maharashtra Cadre
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has granted approval to a proposal submitted by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) for the premature repatriation of Shri Rajesh Pradhan, a 2003-batch Indian Police Service officer of the Maharashtra cadre. Shri Pradhan is currently serving as Joint Director in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
This decision to repatriate the senior IPS officer ahead of the completion of his central deputation tenure has been made in accordance with Paragraph 14.2 of the IPS Tenure Policy, which outlines the conditions under which an officer may be returned to their parent cadre before the standard term concludes.
Following ACC approval, Shri Pradhan will now return to his Maharashtra cadre, where he will resume duties as assigned by the state government. The premature repatriation indicates a shift in administrative requirements and aligns with the personnel management norms established for All India Services.
