The 1984 batch IPS officer of Punjab cadre, Samant Kumar Goel has been appointed as Secretary, Research & Analysis wing(R&AW) vice A. K. Dhasmana on completion of his tenure. Prior to this he was posted as Special Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat.
