Social activist Snehamayi Krishna, who had earlier filed a complaint that prompted a Karnataka Lokayukta Police investigation into the alleged Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) scam involving family members of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, has now lodged a formal complaint with the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) against the IPS officers overseeing the probe.
In the complaint, Krishna alleges that senior IPS officers—Manish Kabrikar (Additional Director General of Police), Subramaneyshwara Rao (Inspector General of Police), and T. J. Udesh (then Lokayukta Superintendent of Police in Mysuru)—acted under political pressure during the investigation, which is registered as case number 11/24 at the Mysuru Lokayukta Police Station.
Krishna stated that the initial complaint was submitted to the CVC on March 12, 2025, and confirmation of its official registration was received from the commission only recently, on Monday.
The activist has urged the CVC to examine whether the IPS officers compromised the integrity of the investigation due to alleged influence from members of Siddaramaiah’s family.
This latest development has intensified public scrutiny of the MUDA scam probe, raising serious concerns about the impartiality of law enforcement agencies and the extent of political interference in high-profile corruption cases.
