ACC Approves Curtailment of Tenure of IRS Officer Mrithinjai Srikanthan and Premature Repatriation of IAS Officer Kaushick Saha

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has cleared two key personnel decisions under the Central Staffing Scheme, involving the curtailment of tenure of an IRS officer and the premature repatriation of an IAS officer to his parent cadre.

According to the official order, the ACC has approved the proposal for the curtailment of tenure of Mr Mrithinjai Srikanthan, IRS (C&IT: 2013), who has been serving as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance. The decision was taken following a recommendation from the Department of Expenditure under the leadership of Secretary Mr V. Vualnam.

In a separate order, the ACC has also approved the proposal of the Office of the Registrar General of India for the premature repatriation of Mr Kaushick Saha, IAS (West Bengal: 2010), presently serving as Deputy Secretary-level DCO/DCR, West Bengal, to his parent cadre on administrative grounds. The order further directs that Shri Saha be relieved of his current duties with immediate effect in order to report to his parent cadre.

These decisions reflect the government’s ongoing exercise to ensure effective deployment of senior officers under the Central Staffing Scheme and streamline administrative functioning across ministries and cadres.
