In a major bureaucratic reshuffle—the second in less than a week—the Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, issued late-night transfer orders affecting 14 IAS and 6 PCS officers. The reshuffle includes the appointment of new District Magistrates (DMs) for four key districts: Pilibhit, Ballia, Hardoi, and Maharajganj.
Key IAS Transfers
Anunay Jha (2015 batch), previously DM of Maharajganj, has been appointed the new DM of Hardoi.
Mangla Prasad Singh (2012 batch promotee), currently DM of Hardoi, will take charge as DM of Ballia. This marks his return to the Purvanchal region, where he earlier served as DM of Ghazipur and held multiple important roles in Varanasi.
Praveen Kumar Laxkar (2012 batch), outgoing DM of Ballia, has been appointed Joint Managing Director of UP Jal Nigam (Urban).
Santosh Kumar Sharma (2014 batch promotee), former CEO of the Ayodhya Teerth Vikas Parishad and Ayodhya’s Municipal Commissioner, is now the new DM of Maharajganj.
Gyanendra Singh (2014 batch promotee), who served as Joint MD of UP Jal Nigam (Urban), has been appointed DM of Pilibhit.
Sanjay Kumar Singh (2012 batch promotee), the outgoing DM of Pilibhit, has been named Special Secretary, Culture Department, and Director of Religious Affairs.

Deepak Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary, has been given additional charge as Agriculture Production Commissioner, a post previously held by Chief Secretary Manoj Singh.
Jayendra Kumar, CDO of Siddharthnagar, has been appointed as both CEO of Ayodhya Teerth Vikas Parishad and Municipal Commissioner of Ayodhya.
Mrinali Avinash Joshi, Joint Magistrate of Gorakhpur, will replace Jayendra Kumar as CDO of Siddharthnagar.
Apoorva Dubey, Vice-Chairperson of the Aligarh Development Authority, has been appointed Director of SUDA (State Urban Development Agency).
Kuldeep Meena, CDO of Bulandshahr, will take over Dubey’s role in Aligarh.
Nisha, Joint Magistrate of Mathura, becomes the new CDO of Bulandshahr.
Prerna Sharma, outgoing Director of SUDA, has been posted as Special Secretary, Horticulture and Food Processing Department.
Ravindra Kumar-1, Special Secretary (Culture) and Director of Religious Affairs, will now serve as Special Secretary for Agriculture, Agri-Marketing, Foreign Trade, and Agri-Education & Research.
