UP Govt claims 63% roads in state are free of potholes

Just after coming into power, UP CM Yogi Adityanath had given directives to make all roads in the state pothole-free by June 15, now the Uttar Pradesh government could only complete 63% of the task by the deadline on Thursday.

Overall, 1,21,034 km of roads were to be made pothole-free in the state, said deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya. The figure came after an elaborate road survey by all departments. Of this, only 76,356 km of roads could be made pothole-free, he said.
