Fatehpur SDM Suspended Over Eviction Lapses
In a separate disciplinary action, SDM Archana Agnihotri (Fatehpur) was suspended for failing to follow due procedure in an eviction drive in Baramatpur village.
Key Charges:
No physical inspection before eviction
Violation of standard protocols
Negligence in administrative duties
She has been suspended under Rule 4 of the UP Government Servant (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 1999, and attached to the Revenue Board pending an inquiry led by the Commissioner of Lucknow Division.
Why This Matters
The large-scale transfers reflect UP’s focus on administrative efficiency and leadership development.
The suspension underscores the government’s zero-tolerance policy toward procedural lapses.
This move signals a continued push for transparency and accountability in the state’s governance framework.
