On Tuesday, Former Union Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu, filed nomination papers to contest in Vice President election. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Finance and Defence Minister Arun Jaitley, and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has proposed his name. Mr. Naidu was accompanied by BJP president Amit Shah, senior leader Murli Manohar Joshi and other party legislators at the time of nomination.
