22 Senior PCS Officers Promoted to IAS Cadre -Posting Orders Issued in Uttar Pradesh

Uttar Pradesh Elevates Pre-1983 Batch PCS Officers to IAS Rank

In a significant administrative development, the Government of Uttar Pradesh has promoted 22 senior Provincial Civil Services (PCS) officers to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) under the State Civil Services quota. The promotion orders were issued following the approval from the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Government of India, dated July 9, 2025.

Senior PCS Officers Get IAS Rank

The list of newly promoted officers includes three women officers, and most belong to the pre-1983 recruitment batch. Their formal IAS batch allocation will be announced soon.

Immediate Assumption of Charge Mandated

As per the order issued by Special Secretary Vijay Kumar, the promoted officers have been instructed to assume charge immediately in the senior pay scale of the IAS. Additionally, they are required to submit a certificate of release from the PCS pay scale, duly countersigned and forwarded to the state government.
