Dominic Asquith appointed new British High Commissioner to India

Dominic Asquith, the great-grandson of former UK prime minister HH Asquith has been appointed the next British high commissioner to India.Asquith, 59, succeeds James Bevan.Asquith worked as a freelance journalist in Amman in the early 1980s, besides holding several senior diplomatic assignments in various countries.He is scheduled to take up the appointment in New Delhi later this month.
