The 1979 batch Senior IRS officer, Rani Singh Nair is likely to be appointed as the Chairperson of Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) with incumbent Atulesh Jindal retired on Sunday. She is currently posted as the member (legislation and computerization) in CBDT, policy making body of the Income-Tax department.
