General Secretary All India Congress Committee, Shri Ghulam Nabi Azad, along with a high level delegation arrived in Bangladesh today after noon to attend 29th Triennial conference of Bangladesh Awami League. On arrival at Bangbandhu International Airport, Dhaka, Mr. Azad was received by senior Party functionaries of Awami League Party of Bangladesh. Mr. Azad handed over a special message from Congress President Smt. Sonia Gandhi to Bangladesh Prime Minister, Mrs. Sheikh Hasina Wajid this evening during a special meeting with the Hon’ble Prime Minister of Bangladesh.
Congress Party and Awami League of Bangladesh enjoy decades old bond of mutual trust and respect. Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad will address the 20th Triennial Conference of Bangladesh Awami League tomorrow the 22nd October along with other world dignitaries.
