In a key administrative reshuffle, the Himachal Pradesh government has transferred three IPS officers and two HPPS officers, according to an official notification issued on Wednesday.
Amit Yadav, a 2019-batch IPS officer who was serving as Commandant of the 5th India Reserve Battalion (IRBn) in Bassi, Bilaspur, has been appointed as the new Superintendent of Police (SP), Una. He takes over from Rakesh Singh (2017-batch IPS officer), who has been posted as SP (Leave Reserve) at the Police Headquarters in Shimla.
Rajesh Verma, previously SP of Communication and Technical Services (C&TS), has been reassigned as SP (CWO) at the Police Headquarters, Shimla.
In the Himachal Pradesh Police Service (HPPS) cadre:

Raj Kumar (2020 batch), currently Deputy SP (Headquarters) in Lahaul and Spiti at Keylong, has been transferred as SDPO, Dadasiba in Kangra district.

Rashmi Sharma, a 2022-batch officer who was awaiting posting at Police Headquarters, has now been appointed DSP (Headquarters), Keylong, Lahaul and Spiti.
All these transfers come into immediate effect.
