The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has granted extensions to the deputation tenures of two Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officers currently serving in Jammu & Kashmir, as per official notifications issued by the Department of Revenue.
According to the orders:

Raja Yaqoob Farooq, IRS (IT: 2014), will continue on deputation with the Government of Jammu & Kashmir until November 10, 2025.

Bashir Ahmad Bhat, also an IRS (IT: 2014) officer, has had his deputation extended until April 7, 2026.
These extensions underscore the Centre’s trust in experienced IRS officers to bolster administrative efficiency and governance capacity in the Union Territory.
