In a recent administrative reshuffle, the Punjab government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, has assigned additional responsibilities to five senior officers — including two IAS officers, one IFS officer, and two PCS officers. The new roles take effect immediately.
Among the notable appointments, Mr. Mohammad Tayyab, a 2007-batch IAS officer currently serving as Administrative Secretary of Horticulture, and also holding additional charges as Administrative Secretary of Soil & Water Conservation and Director of Treasury and Accounts, has now been given the added responsibility of Managing Director of the Punjab Infrastructure Development Board (PIDB). This post had been lying vacant.
The reshuffle is part of an effort to improve governance and ensure more efficient management of key departments. Additional details regarding the new assignments for the other officers are expected to be announced soon.
