Madhya Pradesh: 7 Top Cops Transferred in Key Reshuffle

In a significant late-night administrative reshuffle, the Madhya Pradesh government, under Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, has transferred and reassigned seven IPS officers to key positions across the state.

Himani Khanna Appointed IG of Sagar Range, Also Gets JNPA Charge

Himani Khanna, a 2006-batch IPS officer, has been appointed as the new Inspector General (IG) of the Sagar Range. In addition to this, she has been given the additional charge of Director of the Jawaharlal Nehru Police Academy (JNPA).

This follows the government’s decision to cancel the earlier posting of IPS officer Chandrashekhar Solanki (also from the 2006 batch) as JNPA Director. Solanki has now been reassigned as IG of the State Armed Forces (SAF) in Indore.

Sunil Kumar Pandey Posted as DIG, Sagar Range

Sunil Kumar Pandey (IPS: 2009), who was previously serving as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Management at Police Headquarters, has now been appointed as DIG of the Sagar Range.

Changes in Special Investigation Team and District-Level Leadership

Kalyan Chakravarthy (IPS: 2010), a member of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the Vijay Shah case, has been transferred from DIG, SAF Bhopal to DIG, Chhindwara Range.

Nagendra Singh (IPS: 2014), who was serving as Superintendent of Police (SP), Balaghat, has been posted as Commandant of the 25th Battalion in Bhopal.

Aditya Mishra (IPS: 2018), SP of Rajgarh, will now take over as the new SP of Balaghat.

New Appointments in Rajgarh and Police Headquarters

Amit Tolani, previously the Commandant of the 24th Battalion, Jawara, has been appointed as the new SP of Rajgarh.

Additionally, Sonali Dubey, a State Police Service officer currently serving as Additional SP in Jabalpur, has been promoted and posted as Additional Inspector General (AIG) at Police Headquarters.
