Notable Bureaucratic Reshuffle Elevates J. Nivas and M. Hari Narayanan to National Roles

In a significant administrative move, the Central Government has appointed two senior IAS officers from Andhra Pradesh to important roles at the national level.

J Nivas Appointed Director of Census Operations and Citizen Registration

J. Nivas, currently serving as Additional Secretary (Finance) in Andhra Pradesh, has been appointed as Director of Census Operations and Director of Citizen Registration for the state. His tenure in this dual role will continue until December 31.

M. Hari Narayanan Joins Centre as Director in Drinking Water & Sanitation Department

Meanwhile, M. Hari Narayanan, who held the post of Inspector General (Registration and Stamps), has been deputed to the Central Government as Director in the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, New Delhi. His deputation will be for a period of five years.

G. Veerapandian Given Additional Charge

To ensure continuity in state administration, Health Commissioner G. Veerapandian has been entrusted with full additional charge of the Inspector General, Registration and Stamps post vacated by Hari Narayanan.

These appointments reflect the growing role of Andhra Pradesh cadre officers in key national governance functions.
