Uttarakhand: Four IAS Officers Transferred in Administrative Reshuffle; Ranveer Singh Chauhan Exits Namami Gange, Nitika Khandelwal Gets Additional Charge
In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Uttarakhand government on Wednesday transferred four Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, marking a strategic step aimed at enhancing governance and project execution across departments.
The Personnel Department issued the official transfer order, outlining immediate changes designed to streamline operations and strengthen leadership in crucial development sectors.
Key Transfers and New Appointments
Ranveer Singh Chauhan has been relieved from his post as Project Director of Namami Gange, bringing his tenure with the flagship river rejuvenation mission to a close.
Nitika Khandelwal, currently serving as District Magistrate of Tehri, has been assigned additional charge of the Tehri Development Authority, expanding her administrative responsibilities.
Gaurav Kumar has been given additional responsibility as Managing Director of the Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA), signaling the government’s trust in his leadership.
Apoorva Pandey will now also serve as the Director of Swajal, a key initiative focusing on water and sanitation, alongside her existing duties.
The reshuffle order, signed by Joint Secretary (Personnel) Rajendra Singh Patiyal, has come into immediate effect.

According to government sources, the reassignments are part of an ongoing strategy to improve administrative efficiency by placing experienced and capable officers in roles that directly impact development outcomes.
