Major Bureaucratic Reshuffle in Madhya Pradesh: 9 IAS Officers Transferred

 Dr. Rajesh Rajoda Appointed ACS, Narmada Valley Development Corporation

In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Madhya Pradesh government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, has transferred and appointed nine senior IAS officers. The shake-up impacts several key departments, including the Chief Minister’s Office, Narmada Valley Development, Urban Administration, Energy, and General Administration.

The General Administration Department issued the transfer orders on Sunday, July 6, directing the officers to take charge of their new assignments with immediate effect.

Key Appointment: Neeraj Mandloi to Head CM’s Office

One of the most prominent changes involves Neeraj Mandloi (IAS: 1993: MP), who has been appointed as Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) in the Chief Minister’s Office. In addition, he has been given the charge of the Energy Department and the Public Service Management Department. He was previously serving as ACS in the Central Department.

Agriculture and Higher Education Departments Reorganized

Nishant Warwade (IAS: 2003) has been appointed Secretary, Farmer Welfare and Agriculture Development Department. He was previously the Commissioner for Higher Education, Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal.

Prabal Sipahi has taken over as the new Commissioner of Higher Education, succeeding Warwade.

Senior Officers Assigned Multiple Portfolios

Several senior officers have been entrusted with additional responsibilities in this reshuffle:

  • Dr. Rajesh Kumar Rajoda (IAS: 1990) has been appointed as Additional Chief Secretary, Narmada Valley Development Corporation. His additional responsibilities include:

    Co-Member (Rehabilitation), Narmada Valley Development Authority

    ACS, Water Resources Department

  • Sanjay Dubey has been named Additional Chief Secretary, Urban Development and Housing Department, with additional charge of the Science and Technology Department.

    Chief Secretary, Planning, Economic and Statistics Department

  • Sanjay Kumar Shukla has been appointed ACS, General Administration Department, and will also serve as:

Other Notable Transfers

M. Selvendran (IAS: 2002) has been appointed Secretary, Personnel, General Administration Department. He was earlier serving as Secretary, Farmer Welfare and Agriculture Development Department.

Rakhi Sahay (IAS: 2015), previously Managing Director of the Madhya Pradesh Finance Corporation, Indore, has been appointed Secretary, Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC).

This large-scale reshuffle reflects the government’s strategic effort to enhance administrative efficiency and improve governance outcomes across departments. By aligning key positions with developmental priorities, the Madhya Pradesh administration aims to accelerate public service delivery and strengthen institutional performance.
