IGRS Review Meeting Emphasizes Accountability, Daily Monitoring, and Spiritual Growth

During a detailed review session held Wednesday at the Bhadohi Collectorate auditorium, District Magistrate Dr. Rajendra Pensiya (IAS, 2015 batch) directed officials across departments to proactively address public complaints submitted through the Integrated Grievance Redressal System (IGRS). The DM emphasized the importance of personal outreach and direct communication with complainants to improve the grievance resolution process.

Officers Instructed to Engage Directly With Complainants

Deputy Collector Akhilesh Kumar presented department-wise feedback from the IGRS portal, highlighting areas of concern. Responding to the data, Dr. Pensiya mandated that department heads personally contact complainants, maintain proper call records, and ensure grievances are resolved promptly and satisfactorily.

Officials overseeing departments with unresolved complaints were cautioned about potential disciplinary action. Final notices were ordered for those showing prolonged inaction.

Defined Oversight Responsibilities

To streamline grievance redressal efforts, the DM assigned key monitoring roles:

CDO Gorakhnath Bhatt to oversee development-related departments

ADM to supervise revenue-related departments

Chief Development Officer Bhatt added a directive for all officers to dedicate 15 minutes every morning reviewing IGRS complaints and to ensure complainants are contacted by evening.

Personality Development Session Inspired by the Bhagavad Gita

Following the administrative meeting, Ramakrishna Goswami, Founder-President of Bhartiya Charitra Nirman Sansthan, Delhi, led a session under the Karmayogi Bharat initiative. He delved into principles of self-awareness and personality development rooted in the Bhagavad Gita, including the interplay of soul, intellect, senses, and body.

He also connected spiritual teachings to themes of national responsibility and personal duty, encouraging officers to imbue public service with deeper ethical and philosophical values.
