In a significant administrative development, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has cleared the appointment of two senior officers to key positions in the central government.
Mr. Ajay Gupta, IRSS (1993), has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Legal Affairs. He will serve in the post until his superannuation on 31 August 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Mr. Chetna Nand Singh, IRSEE (1994), has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways. He will serve for a tenure of five years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He takes over from Mr. Amit Kumar Ghosh, IAS (UP:1994).
