Executive Director of National Mission for Clean Ganga Relieved Before Completion of Central Deputation Tenure
The Government of India has formally approved the premature repatriation of Shri Satya Prakash Vashishth, Indian Forest Service (IFoS) officer, who was serving on central deputation as Executive Director in the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG).
According to the official directive issued by the competent authority, Shri Vashishth has been relieved of his responsibilities at NMCG prior to the completion of his sanctioned deputation tenure and has been instructed to immediately return to his parent state cadre for further posting.
Early Curtailment of Central Deputation
The premature termination of Shri Vashishth’s deputation indicates an administrative decision to reassign the senior officer back to his cadre ahead of the scheduled completion of his central posting. Such repatriations are carried out under established central staffing norms to meet evolving administrative and cadre-level requirements.
Role at National Mission for Clean Ganga
As Executive Director at NMCG, Shri Vashishth was associated with the planning, monitoring, and execution of flagship river rejuvenation and pollution abatement initiatives under the Government of India’s Clean Ganga programme. His responsibilities included coordination with state governments, project oversight, and ensuring timely implementation of river conservation infrastructure projects.
Next Posting to be Decided by Parent Cadre
Following his repatriation, Shri Vashishth will now be placed at the disposal of his respective state government, which will determine his next administrative assignment as per cadre requirements.
