In a sweeping administrative reorganisation intended to reinforce policing leadership across critical operational wings, the Punjab Government has ordered the transfer and promotion of 22 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, including two district Superintendents of Police. The restructuring covers strategic verticals such as intelligence, counter-intelligence, anti-narcotics, vigilance, human rights, crime investigation, traffic management and district policing.
