ACC Approves Three-Month Extension of IAS Officer M. Ramachandrudu’s Central Deputation as Director of Census Operations and Citizen Registration in Bihar
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has formally approved the proposal submitted by the Ministry of Home Affairs to extend the central deputation tenure of Shri M. Ramachandrudu, IAS (Bihar cadre, 2009 batch).
Ramachandrudu, who is currently serving as Director of Census Operations (DCO) and Director of Citizen Registration (DCR) for Bihar under the Ministry of Home Affairs, will continue in his role for an additional three months beyond December 31, 2025, or until further orders are issued, whichever comes earlier.
Post Upgraded to Joint Secretary Level
The extension has been granted by continuing the upgradation of the post presently held by the officer to the level of Joint Secretary. This ensures that the responsibilities associated with the Census and Citizen Registration functions in Bihar are managed at a senior administrative level, reflecting the importance of these roles in national governance.\
