A group of 10 trainee IAS officers from the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie, visited the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) on Friday to gain practical insights into its operational systems and administrative processes.
Learning About CET and Recruitment Procedures
During the visit, KEA Administrative Officer Islahuddin Gadyal provided a detailed briefing on the authority’s core functions. The officers were introduced to the end-to-end procedures of the Common Entrance Test (CET), including the management of counselling sessions for professional course admissions and the recruitment examination framework.
Modern Security Measures Appreciated
The trainee officers praised KEA’s adoption of advanced security technologies. These include:
Facial recognition systems to enhance exam security.
Immediate scanning of OMR sheets after examinations.
Prompt uploading of scanned sheets to the KEA website, ensuring transparency and efficiency.
The officers noted that these measures not only strengthen the integrity of the examination process but also set a benchmark for modern administrative practices.
