Centre Appoints Alok Tripathi as Joint Secretary, Petroleum Ministry; A. Amarnath Named OSD at JS Level

Alok Tripathi Appointed Joint Secretary
Shri Alok Tripathi (IRTS: 1999) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas.
His tenure will be for five years from the date of assumption of charge, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He succeeds Shri Asheesh Joshi (IAS: UD:2006) in this role.
This appointment places Tripathi in a crucial position overseeing policy and administrative functions in one of India’s most vital ministries.
A. Amarnath Appointed OSD (JS Level)
In a parallel order, Shri A. Amarnath (IFS: 2006) has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) at Joint Secretary level in the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas.
His tenure will be for three years from the date of assumption of charge, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
This role is expected to support high-level coordination and policy execution within the ministry.
