ACC Approves Senior IAS Appointments: Mona Khandar Named Additional Secretary in Social Justice, Faiz Ahmed Kidwai Moves to DoPT
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved further senior-level bureaucratic appointments, strengthening administrative leadership in key governance sectors.
Ms. Mona K. Khandar (IAS, Gujarat cadre, 1996 batch), who is currently serving in her parent cadre, has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. Her appointment is expected to contribute to policy formulation and implementation in areas related to social equity and welfare.
In another significant move, Shri Faiz Ahmed Kidwai (IAS, Madhya Pradesh cadre, 1996 batch), who has been serving as Director General of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), which functions under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions.
These appointments reflect the government’s continued effort to place experienced officers in strategic roles to enhance administrative efficiency and governance outcomes across critical departments.
