Cabinet Approves Posting of IAS Officer Gaurav Dayal as Chairperson of Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has sanctioned the appointment of Gaurav Dayal, IAS officer of the 2004 batch (Uttar Pradesh cadre), as the Chairperson of the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA), Navi Mumbai. The post is at the Joint Secretary level under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways.
As per the official order, Mr. Dayal will serve in the position for a tenure of five years from the date he assumes charge, or until further orders—whichever occurs first. His appointment carries the Level 14 pay scale (₹1,44,200–₹2,18,200) of the Pay Matrix.
Mr. Dayal succeeds Sanjay Sethi, IAS (Maharashtra: 1992), who previously held the position.
