Promotions Approved by UPSC and Centre; Officers to Take on Key Administrative Roles Across the State
In a significant bureaucratic advancement, 16 senior officers from the Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) have been inducted into the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Government of India, issued formal promotion orders following approval from the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and recommendations by the Rajasthan state government.
As part of the structured career progression under the All India Services, these promotions aim to reward merit and seniority within the state civil services. According to the official notification, the appointments are effective retrospectively from January 1, 2024.
Strengthening Administrative Leadership Across Rajasthan
A senior official indicated that the newly inducted IAS officers will soon receive fresh postings across various departments. The transition is expected to enhance governance by reinforcing experienced leadership at the district and departmental levels.
This move also reflects the government’s commitment to recognizing the contributions of state service officers and aligning personnel with evolving governance demands.
