Arjit Mahajan Posted to Assam Finance Department
Arjit Mahajan, who was serving as Additional District Commissioner of Bijni Sub-Division, has now been transferred and appointed as Under Secretary in the Finance Department, Government of Assam. He will also hold additional charge in the Commissionerate of Taxes.
A promising officer from the 2022 IAS batch, Mahajan has played an active role in sub-divisional administration and will now transition to a more strategic, policy-centric role at the state secretariat.
Abhishek Kumar Appointed Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Textiles
Meanwhile, Abhishek Kumar, a 2015-batch officer of the Indian Revenue Service (Customs & Indirect Taxes), has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. His posting has been approved by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) based on a recommendation from the Department of Revenue.
Kumar’s appointment is for a tenure of four years from the date he assumes charge or until further orders. The DoPT has directed his immediate relieving to ensure a smooth and timely transition to his new role.
