IDAS Officer Bhawini Tripathi Appointed Director in Central Vigilance Commission Under Central Staffing Scheme
The Central Government has appointed Ms. Bhawini Tripathi, an officer of the Indian Defence Accounts Service (IDAS) 2011 batch, as Director in the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), Delhi, under the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) through the Central Staffing Scheme.
The appointment marks another important Central deputation posting within the Union Government, placing the senior IDAS officer in one of India’s premier vigilance institutions responsible for promoting integrity, transparency and accountability across Central Government departments and public sector organisations.
According to the official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training, Bhawini Tripathi was recommended for Central deputation by the Department of Defence before being selected for the Director-level assignment in the Central Vigilance Commission.
Five-Year Tenure Approved
As per the appointment order, Ms. Bhawini Tripathi will serve as Director in the Central Vigilance Commission, Delhi, for a period of five years from the date she assumes charge of the post.
The tenure will continue for five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier, in accordance with the provisions governing appointments under the Central Staffing Scheme.
The appointment is expected to strengthen the Commission with the experience of an officer who has served in the Indian Defence Accounts Service, one of the country’s key organised Group ‘A’ services dealing with financial management, auditing and defence accounts.
Relieving Instructions Issued
The DoPT has directed the Department of Defence to relieve Ms. Bhawini Tripathi from her present responsibilities immediately so that she can assume charge of her new assignment without delay.
The communication specifically instructs the parent department to facilitate her joining in the Central Vigilance Commission, ensuring a smooth transition to the new role. Such directions are routinely issued to minimise delays in filling important posts under the Central Staffing Scheme.
Appointment Under the Central Staffing Scheme
The appointment has been made under the Central Staffing Scheme, the mechanism through which officers belonging to various All India Services and Central Civil Services are posted to important positions in ministries, departments and constitutional bodies of the Government of India.
