In the latest round of administrative changes, senior officials from the IPS and IAS cadres have been reassigned to new roles in Bihar and Gujarat, aimed at bolstering governance and institutional leadership.
In Bihar, Deepak Ranjan, a 2012-batch IPS officer of the Bihar cadre and currently the Commandant of Bihar Special Armed Police (BSAP)-3 in Bodhgaya, has been entrusted with additional charge as Commandant of BSAP-17, also based in Bodhgaya. This expanded responsibility is seen as recognition of his operational efficiency and leadership in managing key paramilitary units in the region.
Meanwhile in Gujarat, C.C. Kotak, a 2018-batch IAS officer who had been serving as Deputy Director at the Regional Training Centre of the Sardar Patel Institute of Public Administration (SPIPA) in Mehsana, has now been elevated as Deputy Director General of SPIPA in Ahmedabad. His new post places him at the forefront of training and capacity-building initiatives for civil servants across the state.
These administrative shifts are part of routine cadre management practices, aimed at enhancing institutional efficiency and public service delivery.
