Rajarshi Dwivedy and Manisha Chandra Posted to Surat and Udaipur as Part of Administrative Reshuffle
The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has issued fresh transfer and posting orders for three senior Indian Revenue Service (IRS-IT) officers at the rank of Chief Commissioner/Director General of Income Tax, as part of a routine reshuffle aimed at strengthening leadership across key tax jurisdictions.
New Appointments
According to the official order, the following officers have been reassigned:
Rajarshi Dwivedy has been appointed Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Surat
Manisha Chandra takes over as Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Udaipur
Anand Kumar Kedia has been posted as Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (TDS), Delhi
These transfers are intended to enhance operational efficiency and ensure administrative continuity in regions critical to the country’s direct tax framework.
Focus on Strategic Tax Administration
The latest postings come amid the Income Tax Department’s ongoing efforts to expand the tax base, improve taxpayer services, and strengthen data-driven enforcement. All three officers bring with them extensive experience in tax policy, administration, and compliance oversight.
Their appointments are expected to further support regional units in executing national tax strategies, improving compliance, and facilitating smoother taxpayer engagement.
