Appointments Committee Extends Central Deputation of IAS Officer Amit Meena as Director, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Till March 2028
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has granted approval to the proposal submitted by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship for the extension of the central deputation tenure of Shri Amit Meena, IAS (KL:2011). He is presently serving as Director in the Ministry under the Central Staffing Scheme.
As per the official order, Shri Amit Meena’s tenure on central deputation has been extended for a further period of two years beyond March 30, 2026. The extension will now remain effective up to March 30, 2028, or until further orders are issued, whichever occurs earlier.
Shri Amit Meena, an Indian Administrative Service officer belonging to the 2011 batch of the Kerala cadre, initially began his central deputation tenure with effect from March 31, 2021. His continued service in the Ministry reflects the government’s confidence in his administrative capabilities and leadership in advancing the country’s skill development and entrepreneurship initiatives.
The extension has been approved under the provisions of the Central Staffing Scheme, which governs the appointment and tenure of officers serving on deputation at the Centre.
The official communication regarding the extension was issued in New Delhi by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship under the authority of Ms. Debashree Mukherjee, Secretary to the Government of India.
