ACC Appoints IP&TA&FS Officer Rashmi Ramesh Doddamane as Director in DARPG on Central Deputation
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Ms. Rashmi Ramesh Doddamane (IP&TA&FS:2012) as Director in the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) under the Central Staffing Scheme.
The appointment has been notified by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) through an Office Memorandum issued on July 13, 2026.
Five-Year Central Deputation
According to the DoPT order, Rashmi Ramesh Doddamane has been appointed as Director in the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), New Delhi, for a period of five years from the date she assumes charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
She was recommended for Central deputation by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT).
Department of Telecommunications Asked to Relieve Officer
The DoPT has requested the Department of Telecommunications to relieve the officer immediately so that she can take charge of her new assignment in the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances without delay.
The DARPG has also been requested to forward a copy of the formal appointment notification once it is issued.
Joining Deadline Under Central Staffing Scheme
The appointment order reiterates the provisions of the Central Staffing Scheme regarding timely assumption of charge.
As per the DoPT Circular dated August 17, 2005, officers appointed under the Central Staffing Scheme are required to join their new assignments within three weeks from the date of issuance of the appointment order.
Failure to report within the prescribed period may lead to the initiation of debarment proceedings under the Central Staffing Scheme.
Key Role of DARPG
The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) is the Government of India’s nodal department for promoting administrative reforms, improving governance practices, enhancing citizen-centric service delivery and strengthening public grievance redressal mechanisms.
As Director in DARPG, Rashmi Ramesh Doddamane will be part of the department responsible for driving governance reforms, digital public services and administrative efficiency initiatives across Central Government ministries and departments.
Her appointment is part of the Centre’s ongoing efforts to strengthen key ministries and departments by bringing experienced officers from various All India and Central Civil Services into important policy and administrative positions under the Central Staffing Scheme.
