Government Assigns Senior Central Secretariat Service Officer Key SEZ Regulatory Responsibilities
The Government of India has officially approved the assignment of additional charge of the post of Development Commissioner, Special Economic Zone (SEZ), Noida, to Shri Deen Bandhu Singh, a senior officer of the Central Secretariat Service (CSS).
As per the administrative order issued by the competent authority, Shri Singh will discharge the responsibilities of Development Commissioner in addition to his existing duties, with immediate effect. The move aims to ensure continuity in regulatory oversight and effective administration of the strategically important Noida SEZ.
Strengthening Governance at Noida SEZ
The Development Commissioner serves as the principal authority responsible for supervising SEZ operations, facilitating investor services, approving unit proposals, monitoring compliance, and coordinating with central and state government agencies. By entrusting this role to an experienced CSS officer, the government has reinforced its commitment to maintaining efficiency, transparency, and ease of doing business within the SEZ ecosystem.

Noida SEZ is one of North India’s most significant export-oriented industrial hubs, hosting a wide range of information technology, electronics, manufacturing, and service sector enterprises.
