While the Centre has not issued any official transfer orders yet, reliable sources indicate that several high-ranking officers currently serving in Delhi Police could soon be moved to new assignments across the AGMUT cadre.
The anticipated exercise is expected to reshape the leadership structure of the Delhi Police and bring changes in key policing positions in Union Territories such as Goa and Puducherry. Senior officers including Robin Hibu, Rajesh Khurana, and Neeraj Thakur are among those whose names are reportedly under consideration for fresh postings.

According to sources familiar with the developments, the upcoming reshuffle is likely to go beyond the appointment of the new Police Commissioner and could involve several Special Commissioners and other senior IPS officers holding crucial positions in Delhi Police.
Officials indicate that the proposed transfers are primarily based on administrative requirements, cadre management and inter-se seniority among AGMUT officers. Robin Hibu May Be Moved to Civil Defence and Home Guards

Sources suggest that Hibu, who currently serves in a senior position in Delhi Police, may soon be shifted to the Civil Defence and Home Guards department.
Robin Hibu is among the best-known IPS officers of the AGMUT cadre and has held several important assignments during his distinguished career. His work in policing, public outreach and administrative leadership has earned him recognition both within and outside the police establishment.

Neeraj Thakur May Head Puducherry Police
Another important change under discussion relates to Neeraj Thakur (IPS:1994:AGMUT).
Thakur, who currently serves as Special Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) in Delhi Police, is reportedly being considered for appointment as the Director General of Police, Puducherry.
Sources indicate that the proposal is linked to inter-se seniority among officers of the 1994 AGMUT batch following the appointment of Anurag Kumar as Delhi Police Commissioner.
If the appointment goes through, the current Puducherry DGP Shalini Singh (IPS:1996:AGMUT) is expected to return to Delhi Police.
The proposed move would result in another significant change within the senior leadership of the force.
Anand Mohan Likely to Continue in Present Role
While several senior officers are expected to receive new assignments, Anand Mohan (IPS:1994:AGMUT) is unlikely to witness any immediate change.
Sources indicate that he is expected to continue overseeing the Prisons Department, where he is currently posted.
His continuation is seen as part of the effort to maintain administrative continuity in departments that are functioning smoothly.
Garima Bhatnagar Expected to Stay in Delhi

Currently serving as Special Commissioner of Police, Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Bhatnagar is expected to remain in Delhi despite the larger reshuffle.
Although she is junior to Commissioner Anurag Kumar in inter-se seniority within the 1994 AGMUT batch, sources suggest there are no immediate plans to shift her.
Her continuation is likely to ensure stability in the Economic Offences Wing, which handles several high-profile financial fraud, cybercrime and economic offence investigations.
Administrative Realignment Across AGMUT Cadre
The expected transfers are being viewed as part of the Centre’s regular cadre management process within the AGMUT cadre.
Officers belonging to this cadre are routinely posted across Delhi and Union Territories including:
