In an important administrative development, the Government of India has formally approved the elevation of the post currently held by IRSSE officer Dileep Kumar Rajput in the Department of Health and Family Welfare.

The Competent Authority has accorded its approval to re-designate the position of Deputy Secretary, which is presently occupied by Shri Dileep Kumar Rajput (IRSSE, 2012 batch), to the higher rank of Director in the Department of Health and Family Welfare. This upgradation has been granted as a measure personal to the officer, recognizing his professional role and continued service within the Ministry.

The revised designation will take effect from the date Shri Rajput formally assumes charge of the re-designated Director-level post. His tenure in the upgraded position will remain valid until 28 December 2027, which constitutes the full admissible five-year tenure prescribed under the Central Staffing Scheme.

This re-designation ensures continuity of leadership within the Department while also strengthening the Ministry’s administrative framework, particularly at a time when healthcare governance, policy implementation, and public health infrastructure remain key national priorities.
