Six recent notable appointments at the Centre

Lately the Appointment Committee of the Cabinet has mandated names of six bureaucrats who have been assigned new responsibilities at the Centre.

• Sujata Chaturvedi (IAS: 1989: BH), Secretary of the Department of Sports, has been assigned additional charge as Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Employment following Sumita Dawra (IAS: 1991: AP) relinquishing the post.

• Raman Kumar Meena (IPS: 2011: HP), currently serving as Superintendent of Police (SP) in the CBI, has been promoted to Deputy Inspector General (DIG) for the remainder of his tenure, which extends until February 9, 2030.

• Shilpa D (IPS: 2016: KL) has been appointed as Superintendent of Police (SP) in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for a five-year tenure.

Extensions in the Technical Support Unit (TSU), DPIIT

The tenure of Deputy Secretary/Director-level officers in the Technical Support Unit (TSU) under the Office of Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade (DPIIT) has been extended for the following officers:

1. Subhash Chandra Karol (ITS: 1999)

2. Rakesh Kumar Tondar (ITS: 1998)

3. Rakesh Kumar Meena (IRSS: 2010)

4. Yashasvi Mund (ITS: 2011)

5. Ravi Kiran (IDAS: 2013)

6. Ramesh Kumar Verma (ITradeS: 2013)
