Senior IRS officer Gangadhar Panda, from the 1993 batch, has been appointed as Principal Commissioner of Income Tax (OSD) in the office of the Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (CCIT), Delhi region. His appointment follows his return from central deputation, where he served as Additional Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) in Delhi.
Mr. Panda has rejoined the Income Tax department on personal grounds and is expected to play a key role in enhancing the strategic and operational capabilities of the Delhi tax region.
An accomplished administrator, Mr. Panda holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from BITS Pilani, a Master’s degree from Harvard University, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Applications from Jiwaji University, Gwalior.
His blend of technical education and extensive bureaucratic experience is anticipated to bring valuable insight and leadership to his new role within the Income Tax Department.
