In a significant administrative overhaul, the Haryana government under Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini has transferred 31 IAS officers and 5 HCS officers in a wide-ranging reshuffle aimed at improving governance efficiency and departmental coordination. The changes include several high-profile appointments at the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) and Principal Secretary levels.

Key ACS-Level Appointments

Three senior IAS officers have been assigned important roles as Additional Chief Secretaries:

Dr. Rajshekhar Vundru (IAS: 1990) has been appointed ACS, Fisheries Department.

Vineet Garg takes charge as ACS, School Education Department.

Vijendra Kumar has been posted as ACS, Cooperation Department.

These appointments are expected to strengthen policy execution and accelerate reforms in their respective departments.

D Suresh Posted as Resident Commissioner, Delhi

Senior IAS officer D Suresh has been assigned a dual role:

Resident Commissioner, Haryana Bhawan, New Delhi

Principal Secretary, Department of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs

His appointment is seen as a strategic move to improve coordination between the Haryana government and central ministries, especially for public welfare and inter-governmental programs.

Principal Secretary Appointments in Key Departments

Additional notable transfers at the Principal Secretary level include:

Rajiv Ranjan has been posted as Principal Secretary, Department of Youth Empowerment, where he will oversee programs focused on youth outreach and development.

Pankaj Aggarwal has been appointed Principal Secretary to the Chief Electoral Officer, Election Department — a move likely aligned with preparations for upcoming state or local elections.

This sweeping reshuffle reflects the state government’s intent to bring fresh momentum to administrative functioning across sectors, ensuring better service delivery and policy implementation.
