In a key bureaucratic reshuffle, the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has ordered the premature repatriation of two senior officers — Hemant Sadashiv Borale and Abhishek Kumar Singh — to their respective parent cadres. The repatriation orders were officially issued on Wednesday, June 4, 2025.
Abhishek Kumar Singh Repatriated to Chhattisgarh on Administrative Grounds
Abhishek Kumar Singh (IAS: 2009: CG), who was serving as Director in the Department of Pharmaceuticals, has been prematurely repatriated to Chhattisgarh, his parent cadre. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approved the proposal for his return with immediate effect.
The order cites “administrative reasons” for the decision, although no further details have been publicly disclosed. Mr. Singh is expected to soon resume his responsibilities within the Chhattisgarh state government.
Hemant Sadashiv Borale Repatriated for Promotion Considerations
Hemant Sadashiv Borale (ITS: 2000), who was posted as Director in the Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs & Trade Marks (CGPDTM), has also been repatriated before completing his central deputation tenure.
His return to the parent cadre comes following a proposal submitted by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), reportedly to facilitate his promotion-related benefits.
