Himachal Pradesh: State Police Undergoes Reshuffle: 3 IPS, 2 HPPS Officers Shifted

The Himachal Pradesh government announced a mid-level police reshuffle on Wednesday, transferring three IPS officers and two HPPS officers through an official notification.

Key Appointments

Amit Yadav (2019-batch IPS): Transferred from Commandant, 5th IRBn (Bassi, Bilaspur) to SP, Una, replacing Rakesh Singh (2017-batch IPS), who moves to PHQ Shimla as SP (Leave Reserve).

Rajesh Verma (IPS): Shifted from SP, C&TS to SP (CWO) at Police Headquarters, Shimla.

HPPS Cadre Changes

Raj Kumar (2020-batch): Relieved as DSP (HQ), Lahaul & Spiti, and posted as SDPO, Dadasiba (Kangra).

Rashmi Sharma (2022-batch): Appointed as DSP (HQ), Keylong (Lahaul & Spiti), from awaiting posting status at PHQ.

The reshuffle aims to optimize police administration across the state’s districts and specialized units.
