A plea by an IAS officer in regard to change of cadre has been dismissed by the High Court.
This was Ahmedabad where on July 08, 2024 Gujarat High Court has dismissed the petition of HK Makwana (IAS: 1995: TN). Makwana sought cadre change from Tamil Nadu to his native state Gujarat. In its observation the HC found that changing cadre at the end of career may create a cascading effect on other within the cadre appointments.
