The Jammu and Kashmir administration has announced key bureaucratic changes, transferring one IAS and one IFS officer to new roles in a move aimed at strengthening leadership in critical sectors.

Rahul Yadav, a 2014-batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre, has been appointed Managing Director of the J&K Power Development Corporation Limited (JKPDCL). He replaces Pankaj Magotra, who has been directed to report to the General Administration Department for further posting.

Yadav, who was previously serving as Special Secretary in the Agriculture Production Department and Mission Director of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), will also take on additional responsibility as Managing Director of the J&K Power Corporation Limited, relieving Choudhary Mohammad Yasin (IAS: 2015) of that charge.

In a parallel move, Sandeep Kumar, a 2011-batch Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer, has been transferred from his post as In-charge Conservator of Forests, Chenab Circle. He has now been appointed Secretary in the Agriculture Production Department and will simultaneously hold the additional charge of Mission Director, HADP, alongside his existing duties.

These changes reflect the administration’s intent to optimize governance and project execution by realigning key leadership positions within the Union Territory.
