IRS officer Kapil Raj has been appointed as Additional Director at GST Intelligence Headquarters.
Mr. Kapil Raj, a 2009-batch officer of the Indian Revenue Service (IRS), has been appointed as Additional Director at the GST Intelligence Headquarters by the central government.
Before this assignment, he served as Additional Director with the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Delhi. During his tenure there, he also held additional charge of the Jharkhand Regional Office, where he was actively involved in probing high-profile money laundering cases involving political figures and bureaucrats, resulting in several notable arrests.
In December 2024, Mr. Raj was repatriated to his parent department from the ED. He is expected to take charge of his new role at the GST Intelligence Headquarters in the coming days.
