In a significant administrative reshuffle aimed at streamlining governance, the Government of Kerala on Thursday announced a reallocation of responsibilities among senior IAS officers, including the creation of two ex-cadre positions and the assignment of additional charges to several officers across key departments.
Two New Ex-Cadre Posts Created
Resident Commissioner, Kerala House, New Delhi
An ex-cadre post equivalent to the Chief Secretary rank has been created for a period of one year.
Puneet Kumar (IAS:1993:KL), currently Additional Chief Secretary, Local Self Government Department, has been appointed to the role.
The post had been lying vacant following the central deputation of Ajit Kumar (IAS:2006:KL), who is now Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology.
Additional Commissioner, Kerala GST Department
Another ex-cadre post has been established, also for a one-year term.
Sreelakshmi R (IAS:2019:KL), previously Staff Officer to the Chief Secretary, has been appointed to this newly created role.
